Must be listed in DEERS (service member, veteran, or eligible dependent). Hardship must result from current deployment, a military pay error, a medical discharge, or — for those discharged on/after Sept. 11, 2001 — a service-connected injury or illness. Covers household, vehicle, utilities, food/clothing, children's needs, and the patient's portion of medical bills.
