This is a transportation and clean-air program, not a mental health or crisis service.

It helps people get around Cobb County and to parts of Atlanta by local bus, commuter bus, paratransit, on-demand rides, and a transportation voucher program for eligible older adults and people with disabilities.

The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) was a state agency that started Xpress, the metro Atlanta commuter bus service. GRTA was dissolved in 2026 and its work moved to the new Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority, but Xpress buses keep running. Xpress offers low-cost bus rides and park-and-ride lots that connect 13 metro Atlanta counties to jobs in Downtown, Midtown, MARTA, and Emory.
