The organizations, services, programs, locations, categories and areas in the directory as JSON, in the shape of the Open Referral HSDS standard (the Human Services Data Specification). Events and grants are not included. Every record says what kind of source it came from and when it was last checked, so you can decide how much to rely on it.
A key is free and you get it right away. It is shown once on this page and never emailed. A key allows 1,000 requests an hour. If you need more for civic work, talk to us.

The standard HSDS fields come first. The atlcare block adds the kind of source and the date of the last check (last_verified_at). verification_state says who did that check: org_confirmed (the organization), curator_reviewed (a volunteer who keeps that category right), community_verified (a neighbor), web_researched (we re-read the organization’s website) or unverified (not checked yet). freshness is fresh for a check in the last 90 days, aging for 90 to 180 days and stale for longer ago. The field names say “verified”, but most checks today are website re-reads.

}Directory data is published under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0). You may use it and build on it, including for commercial work, as long as you credit ATL Care and share any improvements to the database under the same license.

The API does not include the notes people leave on listings, user accounts, or anything from the Neighbor Exchange.
