Adoption planning for pregnant and placing parentsService

Abrazo helps pregnant people and parents make an adoption plan. Parents can choose the adoptive family and plan how they will keep in touch after placement. The help is free for those planning to place.

Counseling and support for birthparentsService

Abrazo offers counseling in its office and access to a licensed private therapist, before and after placement. There is also a weekly birthparent support group, a private Facebook group for mothers who placed, and an online forum.

Maternity-related expense helpService

Abrazo can help with pregnancy-related costs during the pregnancy and up to eight weeks after the birth, as Texas law allows. The adopting family's funds pay for it.

Open adoption program for adopting familiesProgram

Abrazo works with approved families who want to adopt through open adoption. The full-service program is for people with documented infertility. Families pay an agency fee plus case expenses.

Placing a child already bornService

Abrazo helps parents or guardians of a baby, toddler or older child make a legal, confidential adoption plan. It can be done in days or weeks. Services are free for the placing parent.

Post-Adoption SupportService

Abrazo supports families after placement through an online forum, calls from the caseworker, a private Facebook group and Camp Abrazo. It also gives a printed form for writing down plans for contact after the adoption.
