Children's Advocacy CenterService

A place where children who say they were sexually or severely physically abused have one recorded interview with a trained interviewer. Family advocates support the whole family, and a medical exam partner is on site.

First StepsProgram

New moms at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center get visits from parent educators. They give support, parenting information, and referrals, and stay in touch for three months.

In-Home Parent EducationProgram

Free one-on-one parenting coaching at home. Parents learn how to handle behavior and build a nurturing home. It uses two programs: Triple-P and Parents as Teachers.

Newman House and Emergency ShelterService

Newman House gives emergency beds to homeless youth and a safe home for foster youth. Staff are on hand around the clock, and the team helps youth find housing, counseling, and other services.

Rainbows Grief SupportProgram

A free weekly peer support group at school for children dealing with grief. Adult volunteers guide the group.

Safe PlaceService

A network of easy-to-spot locations across Northwest Georgia where a young person can ask for help. Staff respond quickly and help the youth reach a safe place.

THRIVE Family Resource CenterService

Gives families who are sent by child welfare agencies things like beds, clothing, hygiene items, and baby supplies. A Family Navigator can also help with housing, food, health care, and jobs.

Together for FamiliesService

A program that began as a grassroots effort to help families in crisis who risk losing children because of poverty. Families came for resources such as beds, dental care, medical care, and transportation.
