Licensed social workers who are trained in dementia care answer questions by phone, text, or web chat. They can talk about symptoms, a new diagnosis, caregiving, and finding local support.

AFA on CampusProgram

AFA on Campus is for college students. Students can join a chapter at their school or apply to start one to raise awareness and money for research.

AFA Teal RoomProgram

These are in-person therapeutic classes in Manhattan, such as creative arts therapies, music performances, chair yoga, and gardening. They are free and open to the public, and you must register first.

AFA TeensProgram

AFA Teens supports teens whose lives are touched by Alzheimer’s. It offers education, counseling, and a place to share with other teens, and teens can start a chapter.

AFA offers live webinars and workshops for dementia care professionals, including continuing education credits.

Dementia-Friendly Activity ProgramsProgram

The Amityville center offers music, creative arts, movement, rhythm, and brain games. You do not need a dementia diagnosis to take part.

Free Memory ScreeningService

AFA offers free, private memory screenings given by trained professionals. They are open to everyone, with no age or insurance rules. The Amityville center screens regularly; call to schedule.
