Elementary After-School ProgramProgram

Free after-school tutoring and enrichment for students at Kindezi at Gideons Elementary School. Certified teachers help with math, reading, and English, and students also join Studios.

Middle and High School Youth ProgramProgram

A leadership program for teens with service projects, college and career readiness, and educational trips. High school students can also work as assistant counselors in after-school and summer camp.

Pittsburgh Community HousingService

Affordable homes for families with children in the Pittsburgh neighborhood. Priority goes to families with children at Gideons Elementary or in Stewart Center programs. Residents are in lease-purchase agreements and get homeownership education.

Resident EnrichmentProgram

Financial literacy training and homeownership preparation for neighbors working toward their money goals.

StudiosProgram

Students pick a Studio to join: Computer Science, Journalism, or Theater. Studios are part of the after-school and summer camp programs.

Summer Day CampProgram

A June and July day camp for elementary students with academic help, trips, swimming, and activities like art, choir, chess, and sports.

Volunteer with the Stewart CenterProgram

Individuals and groups can volunteer with after-school tutoring, summer camp, home and property maintenance, and neighborhood activities. Email the Center to sign up.

Wellness CooperativeProgram

A neighborhood co-op that began as a food co-op. Members get groceries and fresh produce, cooking demos, group therapy sessions, yoga, walks, journaling classes, and farm trips.
