BDI Ambassador ProgramProgram

This is an eight-week leadership and self-advocacy class for young people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. You learn to speak up for your rights, then share your story in the community.

Counseling ServicesService

Licensed counselor Dana Smith offers therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and life changes. Caregivers and family members can take part too.

Disability Awareness TrainingService

BDI gives disability awareness presentations to groups, workplaces, and communities. It also shares guides on topics like people-first language and job accommodations.

Employment AssistanceService

This service helps people with disabilities and veterans look for steady work and build job skills. It is for teens, young adults, and adults who want support finding and keeping work.

Family Support ProgramProgram

Family Support coordinators help caregivers find out which state-funded supports their family may get. Supports can include health care, therapies, supplies, and recreation activities.

Intensive Family SupportProgram

This is extra help for families with the highest needs. It can include nursing, respite care, in-home care help, and medical supplies or equipment.

Pre-ETS CampProgram

This program has one-week sessions where students with disabilities ages 14 to 22 learn about jobs. It includes job coaching, self-advocacy workshops, workplace tours, and meeting local employers.

VolunteeringProgram

BDI takes volunteers in Atlanta for tasks such as job coaching, classroom help, field trips, and packing. Right now, the only openings are in warehouse packing and labeling.
