4-H School CurriculumProgram

4-H staff teach hands-on science lessons inside Butts County schools. They visit fifth-grade classes each month and also teach sixth-grade classes.

4-H Summer CampsProgram

Butts County 4-H lists Cloverleaf, Junior and Senior summer camps. The county office helps youth get to 4-H camps run around Georgia.

Agriculture and Natural Resources AssistanceService

The county agriculture agent gives research-based advice and help to farmers, landowners and homeowners. Topics include pastures, livestock, forestry, ponds, weeds, plant disease, gardens and landscaping. The agent also makes farm and site visits.

Butts County 4-H Youth DevelopmentProgram

The county 4-H agent helps youth join learning, leadership, contests, field trips and clubs in farming, the environment and family and consumer sciences.

Cloverleaf Community ClubProgram

A new 4-H club for kids in grades 4 to 6. Members build life skills through social time, community service and hands-on learning.

Educational materials and workshopsProgram

The office offers learning materials and programs on home gardening, hay and forage, livestock and youth agriculture.

Family and Consumer Sciences Resources and ReferralsService

The office has no family and consumer sciences agent. Staff answer these questions with Extension resources and send others to agents in nearby counties.

Food Talk Online Nutrition EducationProgram

The office links residents to Food Talk, a free UGA SNAP-Ed online resource with nutrition, cooking, shopping, and physical activity lessons.
