Bereavement ServicesService

Grief professionals offer one-on-one and group sessions for people grieving a loved one. You do not need to have been a Cornerstone patient or family to use it.

Cornerstone Honors VeteransProgram

Veteran and first responder hospice patients and their families can have a pinning ceremony. A veteran or first responder volunteer gives the patient a special pin and a certificate of appreciation.

Cornerstone’s Kids Pediatric Care and Concurrent CareProgram

Cornerstone offers hospice care for children with a life-limiting illness, with nurses, a social worker, spiritual care and aides. Children on Medicaid or the Children's Insurance Program who are under 21 can keep getting aggressive treatment while also getting hospice services. The kids page also lists workshops, activities and camps for young people.

HospiceService

If your doctor is slow to suggest hospice, you can ask Cornerstone for a free evaluation. A Cornerstone team member visits your home to see if hospice is right for you and then contacts your doctor.

In-Home CareService

A registered nurse, social worker, chaplain, nursing aide, and trained volunteer can support a hospice patient wherever the patient lives. That can be a house, a nursing home, assisted living, or a personal care home.

Jewish ServicesService

Cornerstone trains its staff and volunteers each year to give end-of-life care that follows Jewish law. The training covers food and water, medical care, the Jewish Living Will, and rituals right after death.

Palliative CareService

Palliative care is comfort care for people who are not right for hospice. Cornerstone says several of its doctors are certified in palliative care and that it offers palliative care in Central Florida and north of Atlanta.

Pet Peace of MindProgram

This program helps hospice patients keep their pets at home. Volunteers feed, walk and clean up after the pets and help get medical care. People can also apply to foster or adopt a patient's pet.
