Family Promise gives families intensive case management and life skills training. This work is meant to get at the root causes of homelessness.

Day CenterService

A daytime center where families can search for jobs, get financial counseling and case management, and use a mailing address. It supports the work families do toward finding housing.

Promise HavenProgram

A 30-day program for families with children who are homeless in Gwinnett County. Families stay overnight at the house, get meals and company from volunteers, and work with case managers on jobs, saving money and finding housing.

Strong Foundations / Families ForwardProgram

A family mentoring program. A volunteer mentor walks with a family to set goals, connect to community resources, and improve housing and work. It is for Promise Haven graduates and families referred by partners, and since January 2026 also families seeking help from Family Promise.

Volunteer OpportunitiesProgram

Family Promise needs volunteers to host dinners, welcome families in the evening or on weekends, teach life skills classes, mentor a family, help in the office or fix up buildings. New volunteers apply online and then attend a monthly orientation.
