A group for low-income, homeless and underemployed people to share their struggles and learn about their rights. They meet monthly to support each other and work for change.

Georgia Vote Connection CenterProgram

A statewide project to get more low- and moderate-income Georgians registered and active in voting. It works with other groups to teach and train them about civic participation.

Hunger HotlineService

A food pantry open Monday to Thursday afternoons. The Hotline also sends people to local and statewide programs for emergency costs like food, rent, utilities and furniture.

Outdoor Farmers MarketsProgram

The coalition runs four outdoor produce markets that come to low-income neighborhoods once a week from June through October. Families on WIC can use fruit and vegetable coupons there.

The Hunger Hotline helps with holiday food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. You call the office to be put on the list.

Umoja Gardens ProjectProgram

Umoja Gardens is a community garden of about 1 1/4 acres that has grown fresh fruits and vegetables since 1997. Families buy produce from it from June through September.

VolunteeringProgram

The coalition welcomes volunteers to help with campaigns, fundraising, events and monthly meetings, and at the food pantry. You contact the office and a form is mailed to you.
