This service helps people look for jobs, build resumes, and find work. It is for people of many ages who are looking for a job, as well as employers who need workers.

Child Labor Information and Minors in EntertainmentService

GDOL's Child Labor unit gives information on laws for workers under 18. It also issues Certificates of Consent for minors working in entertainment. It answers questions by phone.

Disaster Unemployment AssistanceProgram

This federally funded program gives temporary money to people hurt by a disaster who do not qualify for regular unemployment benefits.

Employer Recruitment ServicesService

GDOL helps employers with hiring tools: labor market data, tax credits such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, and information on employing people with disabilities.

Employer Unemployment Taxes and ClaimsService

Employers can file quarterly tax and wage reports, make payments, respond to unemployment claim requests, file appeals and file partial claims for workers cut to part-time. There is an employer hotline.

Employment Issue Information and ReferralsService

GDOL has a page that points workers to the federal agencies that handle problems like unpaid wages, discrimination and workplace safety. GDOL itself does not resolve most workplace problems.

Job Search AssistanceService

GDOL lists job openings from its own listings and other sources. People who get unemployment benefits must also register for employment services.
