Groundwork Atlanta is a nonprofit that works on environmental projects in historically under-served parts of northwest Atlanta, near Proctor Creek and the Chattahoochee River. They help start community gardens on unused land, clean up polluted (brownfield) sites, help plan walking and biking paths, and train young people to become environmental leaders. People can follow their Instagram for volunteer days, garden opportunities, and program updates.
