Mothers Advocacy Project (MAP)

Family Consultation, Intake, and AssessmentsService

A first visit to the MAP office to meet the team and talk about what your family needs. You then complete assessments, and the clinical team builds a care plan for your family.

MAP PrePhaseProgram

The first step before joining a group. You meet with the MAP team every week or every other week for 2 to 4 weeks. They learn about your needs, explain the program, and teach about trauma.

MAP Trauma Intervention ProgramProgram

A free trauma-informed program for single mothers and women-led families that includes group and individual psychotherapy, social support, education, family advocacy, participatory arts, and practical life skills.

MAP Trauma Recovery Program (TASS model)Program

A free trauma recovery program with individual and group therapy, trauma education, social support, arts activities and case management for single mothers and women-led families.

MAP:AccessProgram

MAP's trauma program can now be offered anywhere in Georgia through qualified therapists. This reaches moms who do not live in metro Atlanta.

Mothers Advocacy ProjectService

A trauma-healing program for single mothers and other women raising children. It includes group and individual therapy, classes, arts activities, and support from other moms.

Transportation to MAP OfficeService

MAP says it offers free transportation for program participants to and from the MAP office.

Volunteer with MAPProgram

People can give time or skills to MAP, such as sorting donations or helping with childcare for the children of MAP moms. Groups can also host a supply drive or bring meals.
