ACT-SO is a year-round youth program that encourages high school students to do well in school and in cultural areas. It ends with competitions.

Armed Services and Veterans Affairs CommitteeProgram

This committee works for fair treatment of minority members of the armed services and veterans. It shares information, takes discrimination complaints, and works with veteran groups and agencies to help people move to civilian life.

Housing CommitteeProgram

The Housing Committee teaches residents about their housing rights and speaks up for fair and affordable housing. It looks at complaints of housing discrimination and works against displacement.

Legal Redress complaint formService

If you think your civil rights were violated, you can send the branch a private complaint form. The Legal Redress Committee looks into claims of discrimination but does not give legal advice.

Membership and committeesProgram

You can join the branch as a member and serve on a committee. Members get involved in voter work, advocacy, and leadership training, and can join in marches, rallies and trainings.

Mentoring | Empowering | New Leaders (M.E.N.)Program

N. committee mentors young men and trains them to be leaders. It uses good role models and community work.

The branch points Black business owners to grant resources. These come from local agencies, nonprofits and national funders the branch works with.

Volunteer with the branchProgram

People can volunteer with the branch in areas like voter drives, youth mentoring, housing and economic justice, media, and events. You can give a few hours a month or take a bigger role.
