Staff work with families with low income to find what is keeping them from getting stable. Together they make a plan for the household. Help can include crisis rent and utility help, housing and job counseling, and street outreach for people who are homeless.

Free forms and money tipsService

A page of free links to government forms, such as voter registration, Social Security card, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and PeachCare. It also has tips on saving money and energy and on renters' rights.

Georgia Pre-KProgram

Pre-K classrooms for children who turn four by September 1. Any Georgia resident can enroll, with no income limit. Spots are given first-come, first-served.

Head StartService

Free preschool for children from families with low income. Children ages 3 and 4 can join in 20 counties, and babies and toddlers from 6 weeks to 3 years can join at some sites. Children get learning, health and dental checks, and healthy meals.

Housing ProgramsProgram

Help for households that are homeless or about to be evicted. The programs give limited money help and a lot of case management to build lasting housing stability. Income limits apply.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance ProgramProgram

Helps qualifying households with a one-time payment to their main heating or utility company. There is heating help in winter and cooling help in spring and summer. You must book an appointment first and bring your papers.

Weatherization Assistance ProgramProgram

A home energy check that looks at how much energy a home uses and at safety and health problems. Staff may then install energy-saving and safety fixes, such as insulation, sealing air leaks, smoke and CO detectors, and some repairs or replacements.
