Raksha holds community outreach and awareness activities about violence, abuse and mental health. Recent topics on its site include suicide awareness and sexual assault awareness.

Confidential Help Line and IntakeService

You can call Raksha to talk privately with trained staff about abuse or violence. Staff talk with callers in English and several South Asian languages.

Economic Empowerment SupportProgram

Raksha helps survivors find resources and chances to become financially independent. Advocates also help people apply for public benefits, victims compensation and unemployment benefits.

Emergency housing and essential-needs supportService

Raksha has helped survivors with urgent needs such as hotels, transportation, meals, and housing support, but availability may depend on funding.

You can get help with immigration forms and paperwork.

Individual and Family CounselingService

Adults and children can meet with counselors to talk about how abuse has affected them. Topics include self-esteem, boundaries and healing.
