A 10-week group for caregivers. It teaches about abuse, safety, parenting, handling stress and coping.

Crisis InterventionService

Clinicians help a child or family member in an acute crisis. They help calm things down, name feelings, and find ways to cope. They also check suicide risk when there is a concern.

Darkness to Light Stewards of Children TrainingProgram

Monthly training at SafePath teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and respond responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Family TherapyService

Sessions with the child's siblings and caregivers to help the whole family heal. How often depends on the child's treatment plan.

Forensic InterviewsService

A trained interviewer talks with a child in a child-friendly place after abuse is reported or suspected. The goal is as few interviews as possible, so police and child protection workers can check safety. Some children can have a longer interview over several sessions.

Individual Trauma-Focused TherapyService

Therapy for children who have been abused or neglected, using proven methods. The child's therapist also meets with the parent or caregiver to share updates and support.

Intervention and Advocacy ServicesService

An advocate helps children and families in crisis after a report of abuse. They explain who is involved and how the investigation will go, share referrals, and help fill out Crime Victim's Compensation paperwork.

Medical ExamsService

A pediatric nurse practitioner at SafePath examines children who have been or may have been abused or neglected. The exam looks after the child's health, supports healing, and gathers evidence that may be used in court or child protection cases.
