Certified community health workers help people with sickle cell disease make care plans, find doctors, keep appointments, apply for benefits, connect with transportation and community resources, and move from pediatric to adult care.

SCFG provides education and counseling for families with abnormal newborn hemoglobin results and offers on-site, remote, mobile, and LabCorp-linked testing for hemoglobin disorders.

Camp New Light is a six-day, five-night medically supervised residential summer camp for children and teens with sickle cell disease.

SCFG offers education and support to help teens and young adults with sickle cell disease move into adult care and manage health, school, work, and life plans.

Specialty Care Access and Health Hub Mobile ServicesService

SCFG works with health centers and a traveling hematologist to bring sickle cell specialty care to areas with limited access, including through its Health Hub mobile clinic.

Sickle Cell SanctuaryService

The Sickle Cell Sanctuary offers traditional and holistic medical care, including hematology, oncology, psychotherapy, nutrition and fitness counseling, IV hydration and infusion services, and massage therapy.

SNAP and Federal Program AssistanceService

SCFG helps eligible people and families apply for SNAP and other public benefits such as TANF, Medicaid, CAPS, and WIC.

Sickle Cell Seminar for Non-Specialty Health Care ProvidersProgram

SCFG and Morehouse School of Medicine offer provider training on evidence-based management and treatment of sickle cell disease, with CME credits for eligible participants.
