Grassroots Advocacy Action CenterProgram

The Arc offers action alerts and tools so people can speak up on disability policy. It also has an Action Center on its website.

Individual MembershipProgram

People can join The Arc as members each year. Members get newsletters, alerts about Capitol Hill, discounted National Convention registration, and access to insurance rates through Mercer.

Mental Health First Aid TrainingProgram

A one-day course, taught by a certified instructor from The Arc, that teaches providers, caregivers, and family members how to support people with IDD who are struggling with mental health. Courses are held virtually or in person by ten participating chapters.

National Center on Criminal Justice and DisabilityProgram

A national center that works to change systems where criminal justice and disability meet. If it has the resources, it also tries to help in individual cases involving a person with IDD.

Pathways to JusticeProgram

Helps communities form Disability Response Teams and trains police, victim service providers, and legal professionals to better serve people with disabilities.

Policy and Legal AdvocacyProgram

The Arc works to advance disability rights in Congress, agencies, and courts. Through its Legal Advocacy Fund it takes part in lawsuits and friend-of-the-court briefs around the country.
