Dallas, a rescue Chihuahua, is a therapy dog who sits with youth when they first arrive and joins counseling sessions. Youth are more willing to take part in counseling when she is there.

Cafeteria ApprenticeshipsProgram

Paid kitchen apprenticeships for CCYA youth who like cooking. Apprentices work next to CCYA chefs and learn kitchen basics such as food safety, inventory, and basic prep.

Connections ILP Apartment ProgramProgram

Community apartments for young adults ages 18 to 20 who have done well in a CCYA transitional living program. It gives housing and support for one to three years. Outside young adults cannot be placed straight into it.

Emergency Shelter and Temporary HousingProgram

A small number of short-stay beds for foster care youth. These are for youth working toward going home to family or moving to a regular foster home.

Life Set MentoringProgram

A mentoring program that pairs CCYA youth with caring adults for guidance.

Life WorksService

Life Works is one of CCYA's Transitional Living Programs on campus, a group home for older teens and young adults. It has room for about 22 residents. Youth go through a virtual interview before moving in.

Meal Services and Blooming with Possibilities GardenService

A campus cafeteria serves meals seven days a week to the youth who live at CCYA, using some produce from the campus garden. Each home also has a kitchen where youth can cook and take cooking classes.

Open GateService

Open Gate offers a 9-bed home for girls ages 12 to 17 who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or are at risk. It is for teens who need a safe place to stay.
