VEO helps veterans with mental health and substance use needs, including homeless veterans and those leaving the service. Staff work one-on-one with each veteran to build a plan. VEO also partners with K9s for Warriors on a service animal program.

Job Training & Workforce PlacementService

VEO helps veterans get ready for work and find jobs. Training covers money skills, cybersecurity and data management, and job readiness like resumes and interviews. VEO works with more than 50 community partners that give veterans access to jobs.

Permanent Housing (Heroes Community at Lanier)Program

Affordable apartments and townhomes for veterans near downtown Atlanta. Veterans from any branch can apply. Housing vouchers are accepted, and only a background check is run, not a credit check.

Rental Assistance & Supportive ServicesService

Rental assistance, case management, and financial literacy training to help veterans keep stable housing.

Transitional HousingProgram

VEO gives veterans who are homeless or at risk a place to stay right away. No one is turned away for drug use or a criminal record. Once a veteran is steady, staff help find long-term housing.

Unsheltered to HousedService

A program that helps homeless veterans move into housing, find work, and get permanent housing. It includes on-site case management and a structured plan that lasts 60 to 180 days.

Veteran Resource LinksService

A page of links to outside help for veterans and their families. Topics include mental health, PTSD, brain injury, jobs, school money, and service dogs.

Volunteer with VEOProgram

People can give their time to VEO by joining a volunteer service project. People can also join the VEO cycling team to spread the word about its work.
