Who this is for
You must get your water bill straight from the City of Atlanta, live at the home, and have water service that is on and active. The home must meet the program's structure, meter size and residential rules, and your household must meet income rules. Renters must give their landlord's mailing and contact information. The account must have gone through six billing cycles and be $300 or more past due when you apply. A spotty payment history or a broken payment plan can lead to a denial. Landlords with the bill in their name, and duplexes and triplexes with one meter, cannot get this help.

Apply online, print an application and return it to the Care and Conserve office, or call (404) 546-3620 and ask for one by mail. Do not send supporting papers until a Care & Conserve worker contacts you to confirm you may qualify.
