PALS (Perimeter Adult Learning & Services) is a volunteer-run nonprofit, started in 1991, that offers low-cost learning classes for adults 50 and older. Each Monday they hold all-day 'Lunch 'N Learn' classes on topics like history, finance, health, gardening, music, and the arts, taught at area churches in Dunwoody and nearby. It is a way for retirees and seniors to keep learning, stay active, and meet others.

It offers free English classes, after-school and summer programs for kids, senior and refugee programs, computer and digital-skills classes, arts and fitness activities, and affordable fresh-food access. They provide home-delivered meals, free lunches and activities at senior centers, in-home care, case management, transportation, and caregiver support. Staff also connect seniors and their families to housing, health, and community resources.

Senior Services North Fulton is a nonprofit that helps adults age 60 and older in north Fulton County live well at home. They deliver hot meals, give rides to doctor visits and errands, run seven senior centers with free lunch and activities, and send care managers to check on people in their homes. Their programs are free.
